Mates in Mind is a free mental health and peer support program designed for sporting clubs.

The program helps clubs build stronger connections, encourage conversations about mental health and make it easier for members to know where to turn when they or someone they know needs support.

How does Mates in Mind work?

Mates in Mind works with participating clubs, providing practical resources, activities and opportunities to build mental health awareness and connection across the club.

Members can access dedicated resources, while trained Peer Mentors help encourage conversations and connect people with further support when needed.

What do Mates in Mind members get access to?

Members have access to practical resources and information designed to help them better understand mental health, check in with their mates, start conversations and know where to find further support.

Throughout the program, members will also have opportunities to participate in activities and initiatives within their club.

My club is already participating. How do I join?

If your sporting club is participating in Mates in Mind, you can join through your club's Mates in Mind registration link.

Once registered, you'll be able to access the member area and Mates in Mind resources available to your club community.

Does it cost anything to join Mates in Mind?

Mates in mind is free to individual members of registered sports Clubs. We ask that Clubs then work with us to consider ways of contributing to the sustainability of the program.

This can take many forms, with lots of help from our team, including fundraising, hosting a mental health round or involving a local sponsor.
